Directions For Residential Pools
Recommended Dosages - Initially the pool should be treated with repeated dosages of 1 to 1-1/2 oz. of this product for each 10,000 gallons of pool water to satisfy the chlorine demand of the water. 1 oz. of this product per 10,000 gallons of water will supply approximately 0.5 ppm available chlorine. To maintain a desired level of 1.5 to 2.0 ppm of chlorine residual, add 1 to 1-1/2 oz. this product for each 10,000 gallons of water daily or as needed. Once every two weeks a shock dose of 5 ppm of chlorine should be made to prevent development of resistant species of algae.

Shock Treating: Keep your water sparkling clean by adding 11 oz. of this product per 10,000 gallons of water, at least once a week, especially during excessive heat, when bathing loads are high, when water becomes dull looking or hazy, when there is a “chlorine" like smell or excessive eye irritation, or after heavy rains.

Wading Pools
Initially the pool should be treated with repeated dosages of this product. 1 tsp. per 500 gallons. Repeated dosages may be necessary to satisfy the chlorine demand of the water. 1 tsp. per 500 gallons is equivalent to 2 ppm of available chlorine. Maintain chlorine levels of 1 ppm to about 2 ppm or 3 ppm.

How to Figure Pool Capacity In Round Pools: Diameter X Diameter X Average Depth (Figure in feet) X 5.9 = Capacity in Gallons.

For rectangle and other shaped pools, please refer to the Pool Care Guide.

To maintain a chlorine residual between 1 ppm and 3 ppm, add this product at the rate of 1/2 tsp. per 500 gallons when chlorine residual drops to 1 ppm. If applicable, broadcast into the deep end of the pool. Keep pH of water between 7.4 and 7.6. Use a test kit for chlorine and pH control. Reentry into treated swimming pool/spas is not recommended above levels of 4 ppm of chlorine.
